Colorado's Once-in-a-Century Celebration

Mile High 150 Expo
Colorado Turns 150 ✈️

Colorado takes flight. One night. One day. One century. Warbird flyovers, a Nashville headliner, and a 500-drone finale — August 1, 2026.

📅 Gala: Fri Jul 31  ·  Expo: Sat Aug 1, 2026 📍 Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, Broomfield CO 🎟️ Early-bird tickets on sale now

A birthday 150 years in the making.

Colorado became the 38th state on August 1, 1876. On August 1, 2026 — exactly 150 years later — Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport becomes the stage for the state's headline sesquicentennial celebration.

The Mile High 150 Expo is produced by the Commemorative Air Force Mile High Wing, 1943 Events, and Mile High Air Boss. Our warbirds — the T-28A Trojan and SNB-5 Sonoran Beauty — will fill the Front Range sky during the Colorado Flyover Salute and the evening air show, connecting Colorado's aviation heritage to its 150th milestone.

Our mission: honor the pioneers, pilots, performers, and everyday Coloradans who lift this state higher — and celebrate the next 150 years from the runway.

Colorado August — what to expect.

High altitude, blazing afternoon sun, and a chance of an evening thunderstorm. A little prep goes a long way.

Pack These

  • Bring

  • Bring
Ear protection — warbird engines are extremely loud. Essential for kids near the flight line.
  • Bring
