Warbirds & Aerial Displays
WWII warbirds and modern aerobatic acts directed by the Mile High Air Boss — formation flights, flybys, aerobatics, and static displays including CAF Mile High Wing's own T-28A Trojan and SNB-5 Sonoran Beauty.
Colorado takes flight. One night. One day. One century. Warbird flyovers, a Nashville headliner, and a 500-drone finale — August 1, 2026.
About the event
Colorado became the 38th state on August 1, 1876. On August 1, 2026 — exactly 150 years later — Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport becomes the stage for the state's headline sesquicentennial celebration.
The Mile High 150 Expo is produced by the Commemorative Air Force Mile High Wing, 1943 Events, and Mile High Air Boss. Our warbirds — the T-28A Trojan and SNB-5 Sonoran Beauty — will fill the Front Range sky during the Colorado Flyover Salute and the evening air show, connecting Colorado's aviation heritage to its 150th milestone.
Our mission: honor the pioneers, pilots, performers, and everyday Coloradans who lift this state higher — and celebrate the next 150 years from the runway.
